A C-Bus bridge is used to interconnect two C-Bus networks together or to split an existing larger network into 2 smaller networks. Reasons for splitting into more networks may be - too many units on 1 network or too much cable on 1 network.

C-Bus uses special high impedance power supplies to provide the 36 Vdc power to the C-Bus units. C-Bus power supplies are available in 2 different formats, stand alone 350mA ( 4 module wide DIN mounting ) or Relay and Dimmers units can be bought with built-in 200mA power supplies.
C-Bus networking cable ( special CAT5 pink cable ), has a maximum current carrying capacity of 2000mA for a C-Bus network.
Once 2000mA is provided to a network, no other power supplies are allowed on that C-Bus network.
