Clipsal C-Bus Software Hardware Operating Requirements

The following is a minimum machine configuration for using C-Bus Toolkit:

• Windows XP Professional
• Pentium 4 processor, 1 GHz
• 256 MB RAM
• 200 MB free disk space
• Mouse
• Colour display capable of 800 x 600 resolution
• (optional) network adaptor 10 Mbps or better
• 1 x USB port for use with USB/serial converter OR 1 x DB9 standard serial port
• Anti-virus software

The following is a preferred machine configuration for using C-Bus Toolkit:

• Windows XP Professional
• Pentium 4 processor, 2 GHz OR Core 2 Duo processor E6300 or better,
• 512 MB RAM or greater
• 40 GB disk with 5 GB free space or greater
• Mouse
• Colour display capable of 1024 x 768 resolution or better
• (optional) network adaptor 10 Mbps or better
• 1 x USB port for use with USB/serial converter OR 1 x DB9 standard serial port
• Anti-virus software

When using Schedule Plus or other software designed to run for long periods of time, the minimum recommended machine configuration is:

• Windows XP Professional
• Pentium 4 processor, 2.4 GHz or better with 512k on-chip cache OR (preferable) Core 2 Duo processor E6300 or better,
• 1024 MB Error correction (ECC) RAM or greater
• 80 GB disk with 16 MB on-disk cache, 10000 rpm, server grade, UDMA-6 or SATA-2
• Mouse
• Colour display capable of 1024 x 768 resolution or better
• (optional) network adaptor 10 Mbps or better
• 1 x USB port for use with USB/serial converter OR 1 x DB9 standard serial port
• A battery backed uninterruptible power supply is preferred

Important – for systems that must run large buildings, the use of a high quality PC with (ECC) Error Correcting RAM is strongly recommended. Cheap PC’s are renowned for causing reliability problems!
